A peek into the magic of Tomorrowland

As September begins, signaling 'back to school' for many, the festival summer is now behind us. October 2024 will see Tomorrowland returning to Itu (São Paulo) for Tomorrowland Brasil, followed closely by various events in Amsterdam during the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE). These include a free Tomorrowland Expo at De Rode Hoed and the Our Story and Afterlife shows at Ziggo Dome. This fall, we will also launch the first book, "The Great Library of Tomorrow," from the trilogy "The Book of Wisdom," in collaboration with several international publishers. Additionally, the Tomorrowland Immersive Experience will move to Madrid this fall, after a successful run in Barcelona. Preparations are also underway for the winter edition of Tomorrowland in Alpe d’Huez in March 2025. But before we dive into a busy autumn, let’s take a brief look back at this past summer.

LIFE

Tomorrowland’s special 20-year anniversary edition centered around the theme ‘LIFE’ – the prequel to the 2016 ‘Elixir of Life’ theme. Over two weekends, 400,000 festival-goers gathered at De Schorre in Boom for a sun-drenched festival experience. Making their long-awaited return to Tomorrowland after 12 years, the legendary trio Swedish House Mafia – Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Steve Angello – took the Mainstage by storm. David Guetta also made a grand comeback, closing the 20-year anniversary edition of the festival. A true crowd favorite, the DJ booth of the Freedom stage was handed over to a group of live musicians to perform the Symphony of Unity, composed especially for Tomorrowland. This summer, the Elixir of Life perfume was unveiled, marking a new step in bringing the magical scent of Tomorrowland and its mythical atmosphere to people and places around the world. Over the years, the signature Tomorrowland scent has become instantly recognizable once entering the festival grounds. After years of perfecting the unique fragrance, the overall olfactory experience and concept have now been expanded, beautifully complementing the Elixir of Life theme and setting the stage for a captivating perfume bottle design and its dedicated stage at the festival – truly encapsulating the essence and atmosphere of Elixir.

BRAZIL

At the end of this month, a free Tomorrowland concert featuring the Symphony of Unity and DJ/producer Alok was held in the heart of São Paulo to announce Tomorrowland Brasil 2024 on October 11, 12, and 13.

Currently, Parque Maeda in Itu is being transformed into Adscendo. This year, not only the Adscendo Mainstage will travel to Itu, but also the Freedom Stage and the new CORE stage. The line-up features over 150 artists spanning various genres: progressive, trance, psytrance, melodic house & techno, Latin house, hard techno, and drum ‘n’ bass across six stages. A Tomorrowland Foundation Music & Arts School will also be opening in Itu.

ONE WORLD ARTIST

It was a busy festival summer for the One World Artists, with festivals and concerts scheduled both in Belgium and abroad. They are now gearing up for an exciting fall season, including their own shows. Andromedik will perform at Antwerp Expo, Amber Broos will take over Antwerp's Waagnatie, and Oscar and The Wolf sold out the entire Sportpaleis in just a few hours.

MAASMECHELEN & DE PANNE

Just before the summer vacation, a pop-up store of Tomorrowland opened in Maasmechelen Village. There are a few surprises planned for the final weeks, including a visit from Dimitri Vegas at the store last weekend. His own capsule collection, POP CULTR., was exclusively presented at the Tomorrowland Store in Maasmechelen Village. The collection will be available from August 31 to September 9, alongside the Tomorrowland Store collections, vinyl, books, and even the Tomorrowland x Ridley bike.

The Ride to Happiness by Tomorrowland recently celebrated its 150,000th ride. The attraction has welcomed over 2,000,000 visitors in total.

IBIZA & DUBAI

Terra Solis Dubai reopens for its third season. On September 21, Chis Avantgarde will take the stage at the Amare stage of the resort. Other artists scheduled to perform in the coming months include Agents Of Time, Alok, ANNA, Birds of Mind, Claptone, Dennis Cruz, Indo Warehouse, Kevin de Vries, Lost Frequencies, Mahmut Orhan, Maxi Meraki, Nic Fanciulli, Solardo, and Sona.

Terra Solis is the sunny successor to the weekly Tomorrowland residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza. The specially designed stage will shine for the last time in 2024 on October 2, when Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike bid farewell to their favorite spot on the White Isle.

AMSTERDAM

After the final note is played in Brazil, Tomorrowland will take over Amsterdam during ADE. Just like last year, De Rode Hoed will become a space where everyone can explore the latest Tomorrowland projects for free starting October 16. From October 16 to 20, Tomorrowland will open a free expo at De Rode Hoed in Amsterdam, offering a unique opportunity to experience the magic of Tomorrowland and discover its newest projects. Additionally, the Symphony of Unity will return to the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam for Our Story. After the success in 2019, the show will be repeated on October 18, featuring electronic tracks performed by a symphonic orchestra and top DJs. All proceeds will go to the Tomorrowland Foundation. Afterlife brought its stunning production to Tomorrowland this past summer and will recreate it at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam on October 16 and 17 in collaboration with Tomorrowland.

LOVE TOMORROW

Tomorrowland remains committed to sustainability and social responsibility.
